The Tillman Water
Reclamation Plant produces high-quality
recycled waste water. Several of the
process areas are inherently hazardous
and potentially dangerous. The property
is available for filming purposes
as part of the City's support of your
industry. For your safety these guidelines
must be observed. You and your production
company are responsible for complying
with these guidelines. Violations
of these Guidelines can result in
revoking of your film permit for this
facility.
- No children of less than 8 years
are allowed at events. The only
exception being 1 flower girl and
1 ring bearer in the case of weddings.
- The above costs include liability
insurance and security guard fees.
- The number of hours allowed for
events above includes set-up and
clean-up.
- Permission to photograph the garden
are included in the fees shown above.
- The maximum capacity of the Shoin
building is 84 persons.
- Parking is provided in the visitor’s
parking lot to the South of the
garden.
- Reservations will be confirmed
on receipt of a minimum non-refundable
receipt of $100 in cash, cashier’s
check, money order or Visa/mastercard
only. Personal checks are not accepted.
- All events must conclude before
dusk. There is no night lighting
in the garden.
- Fees are subject to change without
notice.
- The use of the Shoin Building
is included in the rental fees.
- In case of cold or inclement weather,
interior space heaters may be brought
in by the renter. Usually two heaters
provide enough heat for the Shoin
building.
- There are 84 chairs (gray metal
folding, padded seats and backs)
available.
- Alcoholic beverages - beer, wine,
and champagne—luncheon category
only.
- Originals of contracts may not
be removed from the office. All
contracts are completed in the office.
- Events will not be contracted
more than one year—to the
day—ahead of the event.
- Guests may stroll throughout the
Garden.
- Guests may not throw rice or bird
seed in the garden.
- Vehicles using the access road
must be parked on the north side
of the street only. A security guard
will unlock the gate for the event.
The permitee must provide their
own extension cords. Guests must
park in the South lot near the main
entrance. Guests with physical impairments
should park on the north access
road and enter at the North garden
gate. (Help is required to access
through the North gate.)
- Wedding rehearsals (one hour Monday-Thursday
by arrangement) must begin no later
than dusk or 5:30 PM whichever is
sooner. After this time an additional
security fee of $40 may be charged.
- All personnel and items brought
in must be removed from the Tillman
site and Japanese Garden by the
end of the time allotted in the
contract.
- The contract time is all inclusive
in which set-up and clean-up has
to be accomplished by the rentee.
- The final hour (half-hour for
weddings and meetings) is not for
the event. This time is provided
by the Japanese Garden so the persons
renting the garden can clean and
remove their material from the facility.
The site must be left in the same
condition as when the rentees arrived
on-site.
- Rentees must provide plastic trash
can bags to line the trash cans
(provided by the Japanese Garden)
for their use and disposal during
the event and clean-up.
- Staff will set-up and break down
garden chairs and tables .
