Event Monitor: One position
Exempt City employment-part
time weekends. Duties
include event set-up,
monitoring and clean up
in Van Nuys.

Applicants should have
a working knowledge of
methods, materials, and
equipment used to set
up and remove events,
a general knowledge of
safety practices applicable
to setting up and removing
events; the ability to
perform sustained physical
work; the ability to operate
custodial equipment; and
the ability to understand
oral and written directions
and simple floor plans
depicting room layouts.
Individual should have
good communication and
public relations skills.
Must have strength to
perform average lifting
of 35 pounds and occasional
over 70 pounds. This position
is mostly on the weekends.
Examples of duties: Set
up and remove tables,
chairs and dance floor.
Monitor weddings and other
events to make sure rules
and guidelines are followed
and assist events where
needed. Mop and general
cleanup after event and
close/lock building. Clean
restrooms and restock
supplies (paper towels
etc.) Assist tour program
and sometimes give tours.
