~ Volunteers and Board Members
The volunteer program is divided into two categories; docents who conduct the tours explain history, mythology and symbolism and who lead the standard and summer evening tours and support special events. The volunteers for the gift shop support events at the garden and staff the gift shop. There is a Chair and a Vice Chair who conduct monthly meetings. Both volunteers and docents support events such as the Springtime and Autumn events (supported by all entities; staff, advisory, volunteers). The docents/volunteers also enjoy potlucks, they tour other facilities, and attend a yearly docent recognition event.

The gift shop manager manages the gift shop operations, oversees the purchasing: etc. The docent and volunteer programs provide personnel resources to implement these programs as prescribed by the Advisory Board:

~ Tours
We offer docent-led tours on five mornings each week (Monday to Thursday and Saturday) for just $3 per person; $2 for children under 10 and seniors 62 and over, The garden is also available for open strolling Monday though Thursday from 12:00 PM. to 3:30 PM, but please call the morning of the day you wish to visit to make sure that we will be open. We are also open on Sundays from 10 am until 3:30 PM. Evening tour are offered during the Summer on Tuesdays and Thursdays only. To preserve the beauty of this fragile garden, and for your personal safety, it is requested that all visitors stay on the designated paths and that children are closely supervised.
Low-heeled shoes are recommended.
